We established Cantell & Co in 2013 to do things differently. Having worked for larger companies for over 10 years I want to concentrate on delivering a meticulous, honest and professional service. Living and working in Richmond gives me a unique insight into the local market and buyers benefit from my ability to prioritize the borough over other areas. My experience in central London has proved invaluable since many of my previous clients now consider Richmond one of their best options. We work with experienced, like-minded property professionals whose values of trust and dedication lead to a service with an holistic approach. As one of the few privately-owned estate agents in Richmond I see many clients prefer to deal with a small, agile business rather than the multi-branch model. Five years after opening our office, I am gratified by how well our fresh approach resonates with buyers and sellers.

Having worked for larger companies throughout my career in both the sales and lettings markets in South West London, I really wanted to work for a local private community orientated company with trusted values. Knowing David & Anissa for more than 10 years in a professional capacity assures our clients we all have very similar values and work ethos providing a consistent service in an ever changing industry. And working alongside the business owners means that I can affect change in real time, not having to wait for a committee style decision when an answer is needed immediately. I moved to Richmond in 2009 and I am still amazed at how beautiful it is. I have great understanding of the local market and the vast array of amenities Richmond has to offer.
I first came across Cantell & Co as a buyer having been looking for a number of years for the perfect family home. I found David and Anissa really helpful and having dealt with all of the local estate agents, their honesty was refreshing. As I had seen so many properties in my long search and had an insight as to what made a good agent, they invited me to join Cantell and Co as Saturday staff, manning the phones and registering buyers – my own experience has proved invaluable. I soon became a negotiator and work as often as I am able as my two girls are still at primary school here in Richmond. I have the experience and understanding of the importance of catchment areas and really understand what each different school locally has to offer.
I established Cantell Property Management Services to work in synergy with our sister company Cantell & Co. I have been managing property since 2013 and offer a seamless service from pre-management advice through to post tenancy decoration. I am very hands on, knowing each property intimately puts me in the unique position of being able to give a relevant opinion on any works that should be considered. In an industry in which our clients increasingly feel they are under pressure to comply with the latest legislation and offer tenants a better standard of property, it makes good financial sense to employ an expert. I do not take contractor referral fees or add monies on top of invoices, being one of the few Estate Agents that does not do this – means I can source you the best price from one of my trusted and skilled contractors.
We are small and agile; fast to adapt to our clients’ needs and swift to spot where support is most needed. These are the credentials of a modern service.
We regard your sale as our priority and we will always deliver our best advice. Our bottom line is important to us but is not our top priority.
We know that close, solid relationships constructed with fairness are the key to supporting buyers and sellers during what is often the most important transaction of their lives.
We believe that your estate agent should be a local one. We have lived in Richmond for more than 12 years and we know the area right down to the day on which the bins are collected. We can even recommend a great restaurant for that moment when the movers have left and you are too exhausted to cook. Our team live here and are accountable. We have excellent relationships with solicitors, mortgage brokers and surveyors. We do not accept referral fees, so a recommendation from us is exactly that.
